YOUTH PROGRAMS

YOUTH POLICIES! PLEASE READ!

​

  • Climbers must be above the age of 5 to climb in the main climbing facility. 

  • Climbers between the ages of 3 and 10 may use the kids' climbing wall.

  • Climbers 5 and under may climb free with an adult member or purchase of full-price adult single day pass.

  • Climbers 12 and under must have a 2 to 1 ratio of kids to adult supervisors.

  • Kids 13 and up may use the fitness facilities.

  • All climbers (and their adult supervisors) are required to have a waiver on file.

  • Only parents and court-appointed guardians are permitted to fill out waivers for minors.

Okay, now that that's out of the way... we all know kids are natural climbers and explorers, but here at the New River Gorge, there are precious few indoor spaces for your kids to climb and explore. We are that space! 

​

We are an all-bouldering gym located just a few miles from the New River Gorge National Park, in Fayetteville, WV. If you're new to the sport, bouldering is a form of rock climbing performed on short routes, or "problems." No ropes or harnesses needed. We also have a kid-specific climbing area for ages 3-10, which is filled with fun challenges and exploration opportunities!

SINGLE Youth DAY PASS: $15

Ages 3-12 (ages 3-5 climb free with a paying adult). Includes 1 day of climbing access. Additional policies apply.

Youth-Only MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP: $54

Ages 3-12 (ages 3-5 climb free with a paying adult). No fitness-area access. Pickleball access during family hours only. Additional policies apply.

YOUTH CLIMBING TEAM: $95/MONTH

Ages 7-17. Includes our normal youth membership, plus a weekly coached session (Wed 4:30-6pm). ​​​

Little Lizards: $10 Kids' pass

A fun, relaxed time for our youngest climbers to come burn some energy! Ages 6 and under. Mon-Fri 11am-1pm. Rentals included.​​​

LEARN TO CLIMB: $50/HOUR

Your kids can learn safety and the art of climbing movement in a 60-minute private session tailored to their level. Includes rentals and day passes.

Maximum fun! Enjoy an 8:1 kids-to-guide ratio and use of our semi private event space with tables and chairs. Rental gear included!

CLIMBING BIRTHDAY PARTIES AT THE NEW RIVER GORGE!​

Let’s face it: climbing is FUN and kids take to it naturally. Our birthday parties are designed to maximize that fun, so every child feels like an adventure hero—especially the birthday kid. All birthday parties include: 

 

  • Group guides at a kid-to-guide ratio of 8:1

  • Use of a semi-private event space with tables and chairs

  • Use of two pickleball courts

  • Rentals for age-appropriate activities

 

Restrictions:

  • Kids under 13 cannot use the fitness area

  • Kids under 5 cannot use the main climbing wall

 

Time slots:

Saturdays & Sundays: 1:30-3:30 pm or 4-6 pm
